Jim Gilwee graduated Cum Laude and Omicron Delta Kapp from the University of Virginia in 1965 with a History major. He earned his law degree from the University of San Francisco in 1968 and joined the Crow Law Firm the same year.
He spent over three decades tirelessly representing railroad workers and was designated as legal counsel by over a dozen rail unions. He was the first President of the Academy of Rail Labor Attorneys (ARLA) and served two terms. He was a member of the prestigious Sutter Club, Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), and American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) where he served as President of the Sacramento Valley Chapter in 1996, and was a member of ABOTA’s National Board of Directors for ten years. Jim Gilwee’s tireless service and dedication to the law firm, as well as their clients and railroad workers across America, will long be the beneficiaries of his commitment.
